Let’s talk the Bride and of course the Wedding Dress
Will you Dare to go Bare?
Spring brides will be wearing an array of colours from the traditional crispy white, to the trendy vintage off-whites and blushes. The soft laces with plunging necklines will continue into 2017, but for those truly wanting the hottest new trends designers like Reem Acra, Vera Wang and Savannah Miller will dare this year’s brides to bare their shoulders. The off the shoulder wedding dress designs will reign supreme.
Additional trends will be in the silhouettes, with ruffles, feathers, big bows and tiered skirts.
The ruffles give a romantic bohemian vibe perfect for the garden oasis or beached theme weddings. The tiered skirts add a new elegance to the traditional ballgown, for those traditional or castle themed weddings. The feathers will adorn shoulders for a regal princess look. Finishing the dress off with cuffs at the necklace and wrists will give you the haute couture in design finishing details.
A popular request being met by designers this year, is the trend of understated glamour. An old Hollywood style inspired elegance theme dress. A classic silhouette with thin straps, fully beaded and sparkling. Perfect for that old Hollywood or Great Gatsby themed wedding!
In Fall of 2017 we will still see designers challenging brides to bare it all, but will offer a variation in lace and long sleeve styles from ball gowns to A-Line silhouette.
Accessories are a key detail to a bride’s overall look and in 2017 attention is on a large bold statement. The oversized earrings with stones and tassels, to the drop to your shoulder hoops. Head pieces’ range from a high diamond tiara for that classic princess look with the ballroom dress to a minimal diamond or floral boho style halo, for the structured A-line lace silhouette for the soft romantic theme.
